Where and when

Woolfest 2012 will be held on Friday 22 June 10am-6pm and Saturday 23 June 10am-5pm at Mitchell's Lakeland Livestock Centre, Cockermouth, Cumbria CA13 0QQ. 

Entrance costs £6 per day. No concessions. Accompanied children free

Tickets only available on the door

Access and Transport

  • Access - Mitchell's Lakeland Livestock Centre is completely wheelchair accessible and there are toilets with disabled access at the front of the building. Stallholders are usually delighted to explain their work to the partially sighted and most demonstrations and events include a spoken commentary. There is no entrance charge for a companion accompanying a wheelchair user or similar and guide or hearing dogs are welcome in the venue.

 

  • Local transport - The free shuttle bus to and from the town centre runs between Woolfest and Main Street (near Boots) 

 

  • Public transport to Cockermouth - The town is well-served by buses from Carlisle, Penrith and the West Coast of Cumbria. Full details of timetables, stops and prices are at www.travelinenortheast.info.
