Woolfest 2020

26th and 27th June

The Original
British Festival of Wool

Woolfest was founded by members of The Wool Clip cooperative to provide a celebration of natural fibres and a showcase for the best of wool and wool crafts. It is all about creativity and design with beautiful quality, amazing colours, skilled craftsmanship and a huge enthusiasm for all things wool related. Woolfest is a great day out and was recognised as the Cumbria Tourism Event of the Year in 2012.

Thank you for finding us and welcome to the Woolfest website. This is the place to catch up on what happened in 2019 and to gather all the information you need to plan your visit next year.  We look forward to meeting you in June 2020.

Woolfest 2020 will be held on Friday 26 June 10am-6pm and Saturday 27 June 10am-5pm at Mitchell's Lakeland Livestock Centre, Cockermouth, Cumbria CA13 0QQ. Tickets will be available online early in 2020 and there will always be plenty of tickets on the door too. These will probably stay at the 2019 prices (to be confirmed), costing £10 for one day (including parking and a programme) or £15 for a two-day ticket. Accompanied children are free, disabled access is reasonable and there is no entrance charge for essential carers.

There are additional charges for things like separate workshops and the Giant Knit and Spin-In. Tickets for these will also be available online in the weeks before Woolfest and on the Information Desk at the event.
