The Original British Wool Festival

So that's Woolfest over for another year!
Many thanks to all who came to Woolfest 2018 and made it such a roaring success. Thanks to all our stallholders, whose hard work, enthusiasm, and wonderful standard of exhibits made this a Woolfest to be remembered

Thanks too to all who made woollen flowers for Blooming Woolfest. This was a resounding success, and West House have now taken all your woollen flowers to be sold in a silent auction at their cafes and garden centres to raise funds for their excellent work with learning disabled adults in Cumbria.

Thank you especially who all who visited and came together to celebrate wool, from the sheep right through to the finished product, and everything in between.

We look forward to welcoming you back next year on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June - save the date!!

Woolfest was founded to provide a showcase and a celebration of the best of wool and wool crafts. The event is all about creativity and design with beautiful quality, amazing colours and skilled craftsmanship. It is also a great day out and was recognised in 2012 when Woolfest won the Cumbria Tourism Event of the Year Award.

Entrance £10 (£15 for a two-day ticket) - we will let you know when tickets for 2019 are available
(including parking and programme; accompanied children free)

Woolfest offers a showcase of talents
A wealth of advice | A bank of knowledge | A treat for the senses | A treasure trove of natural fibres

Whatever your wool interests - Woolfest is for you.

Please browse the site and keep in touch - whether you’re planning a visit, want to know what’s happened in the past or would like to be part of next year’s Woolfest - all the information you need should be here. But please note, Woolfest is not really a suitable venue for dogs. We have livestock to consider and would prefer it if you didn't bring your dog to the show.

Stallholders

If you have a wool-related business and would like to apply for a stall at Woolfest, we welcome applications from new businesses as well as established favourites.

We try to ensure a good mix and also maintain a high quality threshold, so it is a big help to us if first timers can supply pictures of work, promotional literature, even samples with their applications - anything that helps us to understand what you could offer and add to Woolfest.
