Each year we aim to have a selection of stallholders demonstrating their skills at various locations around Woolfest and throughout each day.

Woolfest 2018 saw some wonderful demonstrations from our stallholders, and it was really good to see so many of you having a go at something new.

With so many wonderful demonstrations, it's no wonder many plump for a 2 day ticket.

As soon as we know our stallholders for 2019, and which of those will be offering demonstrations, we will post details here, and of course on social media. 

This year, in 2018, you had the opportunity to see and try the following: 

 Wendy Ann Stanger Demonstrated silk paper making with found and gathered materials

Steve Wilson   Showed us speedy warping techniques to speed up warping and keep even tensions, making it easier to make a pattern warp in several colours. 

Farfield Mill  Farfield's weaving friends demonstrated three different types of weaving on three looms.   

Thread of Life  Helped us get to grips with Tunisian and Broomstick Crochet

Arty Bird Carnforth   Offered wet felting using Norweigan & Merino Batts, and lino cutting /printing on fabric & stitching on felt

 Eta & Phia's Woolly Wonders  demonstrated free form pictoral weaving and creative crochet jewellery  

 TJ Frog's Dorset buttons went down a storm, and TJ frog won a stallholder award!  

Get Weaving gave tips on quick threading on the rigid heddle loom as well as cutting handwoven fabric for garment construction. 

Sew Sister  Created armatures as a base for needle felted sculptures  

 Fibre Space Isle of Man  Had an interactive peg loom installation, braided with Manx loom and showed us shepherd's knitting / tunisian crochet 

The Saori Shed   Helped us to explore our inner creativity, and experience the joy of Saori weaving. 

Eden Valley Guild of Weavers Spinners & Dyers   gave demonstrations of weaving and spinning
